Found out while doing a "Legend of Zelda" sketch that Link and Zelda aren't the same person. That may be an unforgivable offense, but hey, I had a Turbografx-16 growing up, not an NES, so hopefully I can be forgiven.
I had a great time at Hickory Con this past weekend! I've posted a few of the free sketches I did at the show. Last year I attempted to draw a horror-themed illustration each day for the month of October. I didn’t quite get to 31. So this year I’m thinking I should do something more unified than just a collection of drawings.
The two ideas I tossed around were for a well-sketched comic book or a children’s illustrated horror book that’s not really for children. The idea I came up with for the comic book seemed like it would take a lot more than an hour or two a day to do it justice so I’m likely to go with the illustrated story idea. The story is not written yet and I don’t have the characters defined either. But hopefully it will all be written and ready for me to start illustrating on October 1st… I’ve posted a couple of sketchbook pages leading up to this project below… |
